Xbox 360 laptop

I began work on it by the engadget article, and i finished everything through part one and starting on case construction.

I need to make the case with something other than a cnc but im not sure if vacuum forming will be a good alternative

ideas?

there really isnt that much progress yet, unless your dying to see the inside of the 360

but yes this is my first portable attempt

pics would be good because im pretty sure the first part wasnt just "How to unscrew your 360"

Wouldent this be deathly hard for a first portable attempt? Never doing a portable myself i just would think it would be hard.

Its not really that hard. You just do what Ben says to do. The hard part is that if you screw up, it'll cost you a lot.

The first part is not difficult, I can agree with that...just VERY time consuming. Still, I would have pictures of what has been going on so far. I'm working on a PS2 portable and I have pictures of things taken apart not only for everyone to see, but also to help organize what I wanna place where when the time comes to working on the case.

this happens all the time. some dude you dont know asks a simple question and then the rest of the thread is people telling them to start with a NOAC.

for all you know this guy graduated electrical engineering in 1980 and works for IBM. not everyone around here is a kid with no experience.

anyways.
GOW Master: vacuum-forming would be perfectly fine, provided you do it right. there is plenty of material out there, and even on this forum for you to read though. i believe dkap's xbox portable was vacuum formed. check out his pictures for some inspiration.

Since it must be a conspiracy day against noobs then I'll post pics as soon as I can find a proper USB cord

Edit: Actually im working on a degree in mechanical engineering at UCF
