how many many pokemans is up to now? i lost count at 250

i suppose its to be expected, nintendo's not one for dropping franchises

Well, I'm 5 hours into it, and loving it. I haven't played a PokÃ©mon game much at all since the Gold/Silver days. I'll post my friend code later.

Oh, and to whoever doesn't know, the PokÃ©mon count is currently at 493.

I preordered it at Best Buy and got it yesterday. It's awesome, but I'm taking my time with it. I like it because I can pick it up or close it and stick it in my pocket whenever I want at school.

Pokemon has mass appeal. It would be foolish for Nintendo to suddenly drop out of the franchise. In other words, a fifth series is guaranteed, and Diamond and Pearl are probably setting some NA sales record as we speak.

And also, there may be nearly 500 Pokemon now, but the more the merrier (even if some do suck... there are still those that rule!)

The next iteration should definitely look into full 3D graphics while retaining the classic gameplay and feel. It can be done... and I imagine Nintendo will have moved on to its next handheld by then. 1GB memory could very well be standard (low enough in price) at that time, and we may actually have higher sampled music and voice and FMV in it as well. I'm not a graphics whore, however, there is an immersiveness to be provided by said additions. Give it some thought.

***currently, the highest capacity DS cards are 128MB in size.

I really wish that dungeon was wifi enabled, I love farming in it. I love trapping it too, but there's really no point when I'm alone.

I don't know what good I'd be, my pokemons are all below lvl 30...most of them *WAY* below it.

how come they say there are almost 500 pokemon in the game but my strategy guide only lists 150? are there variations, or unlockables from other games?

I believe there are multiple PokÃ©dex's.

wow, they limit the size of your friend list for some reason. certainly storing text couldn't be that taxing. and since I never freaking see anybody it can't be eating much server. Why would I? it's hard enough trying to get worldwide games together, and now I'm drawing from a possible crowd of only a few dozen.

well if you're list's not full yet, there's a friend code list here. but even full, I have yet to really see anybody online. DS online functions are terrible in this game. there should be a 'give me some random asian guy to chat with' button.

I've started farming the level 10-15 pokemon. I think the asians are looking for american dots to put on their map at the world trader

Just answer her questions right and u dont need to battle trainers (Like Blaines Gym in Red/Blue/Yellow)
