Backlight issues?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Backlight issues?

Post by ShockSlayer »

Well, I got a screen from gannonbanned, hacked it up, installed some plugs and such(NO led modyet)

Well, I can plug in my n64 to it, plug it into the wall or battery. I get sound and video, but the backlight goes off after 2 seconds or it stays on and if you flick the screen(lightly) it turns off.

Solutions? Do you reccomend a led mod? If you do, can you give me links to the parts to buy?

What kind of screen is it? Sounds like a loose fuse or other loose component. Ever have the backlight come back on after turning off?

But doesnt that fix the video? I thought it did.

Would it hurt if that wasnt the problem.
