FROM 1 disc that is in near perfect condition, I mean, my Sonic Adventure is scratched to hell and that works fine.
But Resident Evil Code Veronica, the only way I can play it is if I boot the 2nd disc, and then insert the 1st, but then there are all sorts of Disc read problems (#1:No voices in the horrible voice acting, or it will only have bits of the voices like "hi my name is.................................."
And now it just froze on me, the disc is in near mint condition, what the hell is wrong?
Why the hell am I getting disc read problems?

The game works after I use Disc 2 to boot it, and like I said Voice acting cuts in and out, and randomly crashes during loading of rooms (Walking through a door) But its only crash like twice in about 2 and a half hours of gameplay, at least its playable, but not to where you can REALLY enjoy the game.Gump-in-space wrote:Even if the disk is perfect condition it could still be faulty. I know Sega recalled a batch of GD-ROMS early on in the game. Did the disk work at one point?
Yeah I will try looking for a "Special copy* online, but are GD-roms hold more space than a normal CD-rom? If so RE for the DC is 2 discs so I am pretty sure they used up all the info on disc 1.

Yeah the CD/GD-ROM thing could be a problem if that file is bigger than the CD's capacity. But I know about the faulty disk problem because I hane a mint condition Sonic Adventure with buggy voice acting. The only way to play it is to use Japanese voices.

Why is it the English language that always seems to get screwed over on things?

Because the Japanese developers take their time to make games, then get in a huge hurry to translate. The english is thrown onto the disk as sloppely as sause on BBQ ribs. So for early releases of games there are some serrious bugs in the programming.
