Anyone here compete in gaming tournaments?

I was just wondering, does anyone play FPS games here? I am a big fan of them, even if i am not good

I came 9th out of 20 in a recent CS:Source tournament (probably ran by some 10 year old kid who just decided he wanted to create one.)

I love playing:

CS:Source
Unreal Tournament
Half-Life 1&2 (I've finished them both like 5 times

)
Call of Duty
Battlefield 2
Day of Defeat (sometimes)

What does everyone else prefer?

Im in at 4-game tournament next week thursday and friday.

guitar hero 2
halo
SSBM
madden 07

depending on how good you are, you get a certain amount of points at the end of each game. after all 4 games are done, whoever has the most "points" wins a wii. there are other prizes to, but they wont say what they are. I want 360!!!

nope I don't, 1 I live in Ohio and no where near any big city, so nope no chance there, 2 PC game to me pretty much suck because ANYONE can play Online with a PC game no matter how crappy their connection, so it makes you lag.

Consoles at least force anyone that wants to play online at least has to have some form of Broadband.

So no, only FPS Im good at is Halo and Halo 2 and GearsOW, and I would be decimated in a tournament, so thats why I don't go to tournaments.

Lol like they would be able to supply a Wii with such sortages, unless they bought one for more than retail on Ebay.

Haha awesome, I love guitar hero 2. I bought it the other day and im already on medium and got 5 stars on Freebird when i finished the game!
