Action Music!

Post by HotDog-Cart »

Hey, I need some good action music here.

By action music, I mean the action music thats in movies.

Like, you know the music thats in all those chase scenes and like all those shooting and fighting scenes in movies? Yea, thats action music.

I need some of that! Hell, I need a lot of it!

Just tell me a artist and the song name. (Can be, from a movie, or someones made up music that sounds like it could be in a movie)

If its from a movie, please list what movie it is from.

Thanks.

Well if you want that typical music that's in most trailers, it's "O Fortuna - the Excalibur Theme" by Wagner. You'll know it when you hear it - we used it back on Podcast Episode 2. And you've probably heard it on every action movie trailer ever.

Also Rob Zombie and anything techno is very movie-friendly. Well, sort of.

You Know My Name - Chris Cornell (From Casino Royale)

The Gambler - Xzibit (Domino)

Son of a B*tch - Nazareth (Lords of Dogtown, and probably countless others)

Thats a few, from movies I like.

Well, I do urban gymnastics (and regular Gymnastics) and parkour/Free Running for a living, so in some fast paced parkour movies, I'd like that music as the background.

Also, I'm planning on making a small movie based on Metal Gear Solid, and other videogames. So yea, that music rocks.

Also, I love this kind of music. I listen to music like this.

PS: Gambler by Xzibit FT Anthony Hamilton, isnt action music. :S Im talking about FAST PACED ACTION PACKED GUN SHOOTING music.

You want fast paced action music? You got it.

Laid to Rest by Lamb of God. Downloa... I mean buy it. It will not dissapoint.

PS: If Domino isn't a fast paced action gun shooting movie, I don't know what is. (And like I said before, The Gambler is in it)

Laid To Rest is quite possibly the best song ever, but, i'd go with 11th Hour by Lamb Of God instead for Action Music, it's faster and heavier.

Khaag, the Gambler by Xzibit is just a rap song. Its not even a fast rap song. I have it on a CD. Like, it would be good for a chase scene in a movie like "Cradle 2 the Grave".

But, Im after action music thats in movies like Die Hard, matrix and other very action packed movies.

Usually they dont have lyrics, and its just instrumentals.

Yea, a lot of the music thats been posted, has lyrics. :(

Also, that song by Chris Cornell thats in Casino Royale, isnt action song either. Its more like tragic/slowmo or lobby music. (Not really fast paced. :S)

Yea. :S

Tried listening to any heavy metal? That doesn't have lyrics! Just gorlws and words you can't make out!

Hows about techno? It's not exactly hardcore, but it's got a beat. Rave music and the likes would work well.
