xbox and pc cluster

i tryed google and i couldnt find anything so does any one know how to set one up.
im going to use two p3s one 500mhz and the other 700mhz and an xbox.

with linux.

the power of a cluster is only realized if you have enough nodes and the right kind of problem... the 100base-T lan connection between the nodes slows everything right down.

Running single threaded applications on a cluster dosent really make sense.

I was going to do it so that i could boost the power of my computer and hopefuly play prossing hungry games so can you ttell me what software that i need? Im geting every thingh that i need to softmod my xbox. i should star the soft mod next week end.

You're not going to get a supercomputer by throwing together a couple old P3s and an Xbox (Basically a P3 700), and you probably won't see a significant performace gain unless every machine is equipped with gigabit ethernet (100TX, which your machines probalby already have, is about 1/4 the speed of the FSB in the old computers), and even then you need software that knows how to take advantage of clusters.

I say you'd be better off building a new computer than building a pile of old crap.

Upgrade your video card and/or memory if you want to play games. (If you're using the integrated motherboard video, a new video card will make the most difference. And, of course, more RAM is always better.)

i was building my own computer until i start to cost more money than i had. i wasw going to do this so that i could make use of the old computers.

If you've paid any attention to the previous posts, you'd know that it won't work. About the only thing you can do with clustered computers is stuff like folding@home.
And did you already have half the parts of your computer bought by the time you discovered it would cost too much?

Why not use your new computer? And why did you get those parts first? those are the cheapest parts, if you can barely afford them, how do you expect to be able to get the rest? If you want to build a computer, decide how much you want to pay, but shoot a little lower to leave room for unexpected stuff, then look up prices on newegg (or similar) and add what you want to your wishlist to see how much it is. Then save up, and go through and get the parts again, but get the better ones that have gotten cheaper as you have saved. Then you get more than what you wanted in the first place, and you have a target.
