Hi all,
I have a slightly bricked gamegear, and I started looking into what I can do with its screen. It was hard to find any info at all about it, but I discovered that it is actually a citizen UC-295-1NA screen. That would be helpful, if there was documentation anywhere on the internet.
From what I've read about this, it can take composite input directly. I am not sure of the validity of this statement, but I can't prove it without the datasheet.
If anyone here has access to the datasheet, I would really appreciate it!

Gamegears can't be bricked. Only something with some sort of internal ROM can be bricked. I suggest trying to fix the GameGear.

its not totally bricked. Almost every time you turn it on, it will only be a white screen, sometimes black....
Once in a blue moon, it will work correctly for a while, but it always stops working at some point. Unless someone is seriously interested in buying the machine off me to fix, I'd be more interested in using its LCD.
Either way, I know of someone who has about 1/2 of a gamegear left, including the screen, so the datasheet / any known information could be passed on to him as well.

That doesn't mean it's bricked. It just means your cart's contacts are dirty. Get a q tip & some rubbing alcohol & clean your carts.

actualy, through the link at the bottom of the page, i found lots of info about the citizen UC320. They don't offer any datasheets...
