Okay obviously you people don't get it. I said earlier on that Sega fans don't have rumors. Only speculation. But you idiots are so interested in putting everyone's spelling and grammer to the test that you don't even READ the topic! This forum is so overflowing with threads like:benol wrote:Where did this rumor come from? You probably. Are you using Firefox, dragon? Just for future reference, it has built in spell check.
hey could someone tell me how to get vidio/sound out of a plyatation plz?
*quotes above* Whats a plyatation?
Go learn to type and then ask us okay?
Well can anybody answer my question?
*two days later* come on I need help!
*person answers question*
*original poster doesn't post again for a long, long time.*
And Even Skyone, an experienced member, is more interested in the details rather than the overall idea.
I could open a forum on my own just for all the spelling and grammer nuts! I'd have more active members than benheck! And that, benol, and all others who are so easily annoyed by bad grammer, is something to roll your eyes about.

unfortunatly, there were rumors about a dreamcast2 or something these rumors were on respectable sites, but they later said no
I agree with teraflop, the gaming industry needs some hard compition right now...

Guys Sega has admitted it themselves, they made a lot of mistakes when they were still making hardware. There was even a time they where strictly a hardware company, no games no software. You think some people would want to have to deal with that again?
Sega became unstable during the Saturn. They couldn't keep things balanced and so thats the primary reason EA never released a sports title for the Dreamcast. We can agree that it was ahead of it's time but the games where not, they were too limited.
Put all that hope of Sega making a new console and lock it up. It's not going to happen. If it did I'd be damned surprised. Sega is doing good now, they don't want to threaten that with having to go back into a market that nearly destroyed the company. And also I haven't seen other companies like Atari make the Jaguar 2, a new NEO GEO, or any one else that dropped out come back in. Face it Sega's out of the console market.

I don't think anyone should be making fun of typos, maybe just politely pointing them out.benol wrote:I of all people SHOULD be making fun of a typo, because I proofread every post.Skyone wrote:You of all people shouldn't be picking on a typo.Nonsense Man wrote:And anyways who are these seega people???

But back to the topic of interest, I would totally buy a new Sega system. Their newer games aren't as good as their classics compared to most games out. Also, if they made a portable it would probably be homebrewable 'cause I know when Game Genie came out and Nintendo was freaking out about unlicensed games/hardware, Sega was fine with it, and I think even promoted it.
Good point. Atari does the same thing. And in al lfairness the last time I though Sega could make a good jump back into the hardware market was when a equivalent Dreamcast on a chip was made. After Sega passed this up to make a portable Dreamcast, rerelease a lot of good Dreamcast games they made, I knew they're not going to come back.MrTroy wrote:Where things get confusing is that Sega is making new hardware. And when every anyone hears that they assume it's a console and then the rumor mills go nuttso. Sega still makes arcade hardware as far as I know.

Yep. Their newest board (I Think), Lindbergh, is nice. It is has a PC design to it, yet I believe that it also shares some similarities to the Xbox 360. I have played Afterburner Climax, which uses Lindbergh, and it is one hell of an experience. And not just because it is part of the awesome Afterburner series.MrTroy wrote:Where things get confusing is that Sega is making new hardware.
