I highly doubt it, SEGAs doing just find in the game market. I dont think making a Dreamcast 2 would do so jolly for SEGA since the Dreamcast wasent a global phenomena if yeah know what i means.

If sega were to make a new console of any sort , it would be a handheld . Since the demise of the dreamcast, they wont have no power in the console market so they might aswell try their hand at taking handhelds a step further.

I think they should release a handheld that promotes homebrew , and sell some amatuer software to the public. Though the GPX (I think) has already done this , sega is already a known brand and might draw some people in.

I for one would buy a castaway (dreamcast handheld) (genious , isn't it).

It's not a rumor but speculation. Sega was out a couple years from the game console market for three reasons:

1. Sony DOMINATED the game market regardless of what system had the best games

2. Sega had only $100 million in reserve to market Dreamcast; Most companies have a billion or more

3.Sega had a terrible reputation that labled their systems DOA (Dead on Arrival)

But since Dreamcast:

1. Sony has launched a console that isn't doing too well

2. Sega merged with Sammy and is now a very wealthy company

3. The Dreamcast neerly cleared Sega's reputation of bad marketing

So without the restraints, why not? I expect their next system to happen in 2011 or 2012.

Well my mistake wasn't a typo it was just me being lazy.

Do you guys realise that this mindless anylising of each others posts is dominating a topic and drowning out REAL conversation? Realizate just announced he was leaving the forums because of stuff like this and frankly I'm getting really annoyed too. Please can't you guys read what people mean rather than what they write?
