I dont know where to put this.. so i put it here

well im new here and ive got a perfectly working ps2 that has just got a few problems with the case so im thinking of making it a Ps2p But i am a greatly Noob.. Ive just found this forum on google I'd hope theres someone out there that can point me in the right direction?

before you do a PS2p, buy bens book and read it. also I'd do something easier first, like a NESp.

snes psone or even atari is ok. As long as your not jumping to: xbox, gamecube, ps2, or other next gens. Try not to do n64

I love how on these forums when new members come on and say they want to build an N64p or a PS2p, its always the members who haven't made a portable who suggest that they should (a) buy Ben's book and (b)try something easier, like the NES. It makes me laugh everytime.

I say, if you are confident in yourself, and do the adequate research on the forums and POD, then go for it. There's plenty of documentation on these forums that could help you. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and welcome to the forums.

I did an n64 for my first, and a second one in a week(Sun to Sat, took a few days off)

He doesn't want to start a career. He just wants to put his slightly externally damaged PS2 to good use. I suggest learning electronics and soldering first--making a portable without learning those first isn't very easy you'll find. Buy or borrow some books on basic electronics first, and then decide if you still want to do this.

Try what you feel like trying my first attempt (which failed) was a GCp and let me tell you what, it was hard, but I loved doing it.

never assume you will suceed on your first try try getting soldering knowledge down and them build yourself a port...
