Downloadable songs and Internet Play Confirmed
For Guitar Hero 3, Even better is the fact that they are going to include these 2 features into the Wii version which was a major surprise to me.
And its been confirmed that the Wii version will use a Guitar Controller, but not necisarily excatly like the Current Guitar Controller we know and love.

agreed. than theres always that fear with the new "standup" systems (wii and 360) that you might tug on it by accident and it falls off the TV.gannon wrote:Yep, then again, I'd rather have had the classic controller have the wiimote contained in it too, having it on a cable just hanging there/sitting on your lap kinda...sucks

At least the Wii isnt like the 360, when you knock that over when its on, say bye bye to the game you were playing.ganonbanned wrote:agreed. than theres always that fear with the new "standup" systems (wii and 360) that you might tug on it by accident and it falls off the TV.gannon wrote:Yep, then again, I'd rather have had the classic controller have the wiimote contained in it too, having it on a cable just hanging there/sitting on your lap kinda...sucks

Sometimes, they don't even need movement. My friend's 360 ate his Perfect Dark Zero game. Not too much of a tradgedy, considering it's a kinda crummy game. Now if it had been Oblivion or something, then it would've been time to panic.Jongamer wrote:

Why would you knock it over?Jongamer wrote:At least the Wii isnt like the 360, when you knock that over when its on, say bye bye to the game you were playing.ganonbanned wrote:agreed. than theres always that fear with the new "standup" systems (wii and 360) that you might tug on it by accident and it falls off the TV.gannon wrote:Yep, then again, I'd rather have had the classic controller have the wiimote contained in it too, having it on a cable just hanging there/sitting on your lap kinda...sucks

And if you're prone to knocking things over lay it on it's side.
Knock a computer over some time with a disc spinning in it. You'll see a similar result.

Its called accidents, and for some reason, my friends with 360s, for some reason never lay them flat for some reason, and I keep telling them it would be safer, they just have a Habit of Leaving it Verticle (Even when its down on a carpet floor) My friends move there 360s around a lot, but not while on, they bring em almost everywhere they go, (Well not really) But we have lots of LAN parties.jones wrote:Why would you knock it over?Jongamer wrote:At least the Wii isnt like the 360, when you knock that over when its on, say bye bye to the game you were playing.ganonbanned wrote:agreed. than theres always that fear with the new "standup" systems (wii and 360) that you might tug on it by accident and it falls off the TV.gannon wrote:Yep, then again, I'd rather have had the classic controller have the wiimote contained in it too, having it on a cable just hanging there/sitting on your lap kinda...sucks

Last time I sw a 360 knocked over was at a LAN party, in the middle of a Match on Halo 2, a friend that wasnt playing At the time, tripped over the Powerbrick and knocked the 360 from verticle to horizontle so fast, that the game just kept playing, no grinding noise or anything, just a loud bang down onto the Plastic table it was sitting on.

I would never stand any gaming system on end on carpet unless the carpet was the equivalent of concrete! Seems like that's just asking for trouble to me...
I used to have my PS2 and 360 standing on end on either side of my TV. Now that I've got my new TV I just have them laying on their side underneath it.
I guess I just never really got into the habit of moving a gaming console while in operation. This probably all stems from the old days with the Genesis where if I moved it a little bit the video would get snowy onscreen due to there being a bad connection for the adapter. Once the disc-based systems came out (Sega CD, 3DO) it just never seemed like a good idea to me.
To each their own I guess. Although, if memory serves, there is a sticker on the 360's DVD drive when you buy it that states in no uncertain terms that it is a bad idea to move the system while in operation. So it's not like people haven't been warned.
