Command and Conquer help

I just dug up an original copy of command and conquer and tried to run it on my xp machine, thinking maybe it would run. It said I was using windows 5 and wouldn't let me install. What should I do?

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

Alright forget this, I found a solution.
