Yup. Tom Menino, the mayor of the only city that thought Lite Brites were bombs, has called for a boycott against Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. Why? Because of the "bomb hoax" a while back where someone must have misinterpreted <a href="
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LED">LED</a> for <a href="
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvised ... ce">IED</a>. Apparently the movie's imminent release has got him all up in a tizzy. Granted the marketing campaign could have been executed better (ie get permits or just do some billboards like everyone else), but I don't think it's something to boycott a movie over.
At least they're not listening to him.
The two theaters in question, one downtown and one in Cambridge, are showing the movie anyway.
(Times like these really widen the generation gap don't they?)
