figured this would go here.

anyone know the size of the motherboard? i would consider making a port out of one as the express' screen out right blows, the battery life is abyssmal, and the sound sucks pretty bad.

my friend had one when i was kid and i thought it was super cool but never got around to buying one. i wouldnt mind making one now =). maybe after my fc twin...

i poked around and didnt see anyone else who had made one and cant seem to find any internal picks or dimensions.

Here's how. (Pick one):

1. Use TinyURL.com
2. use HTML <a href="http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl= ... 3Den">like this</a>
3. use BBcode like so

Quote it to see the code.

depends on what model really, if i were to do one i would go with the chineese UFO clone or a core grafx system, they are the size of a portable CD player! real small, regular tg16 is twice that size but im not gonna open mine up to find out the size of the mobo

the clones are rare but also they are asian market clones. japanese ones only play japanese games where the us models are able to play both us and japanese games. buying a clone may not work with us games.

as for finding a system otherwise i will not be able to pick and choose i feel as these systems are rarely sold anyway and are usually the original system or the duo system (the hud/cd combo system).

but the original system appears to be about the size of the snes mini more or less but i want to be more accurate so i might be able to pick up a poly case instead of making one.

there are a few core grafx systems on ebay right now but they will still run you 60-80$ after shipping (buy it now 40 for one and like 20 shipping) but they are like i said about the size of a portable cd player, very small

now that this is in the wrong section according to the new announcement (http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=18408) can it be moved to the tech forum?

i still need help with this one.

thanks

*edit*

actually i got an answer i was wanting from another board. pc engines apparently can be moded to region free (with some soldering and what not, but there are no converters for it) so a core grafx system will be my choice for this. too bad these systems arent too popular as there is very little info on them...

this should still be moved as i may be posting more or getting more help in this thread.
