That wouldn't do crap for you in court, you have to be threatened with serious injury or death. And in the US, you have to be ~21 to get a concealed weapons permit, and you have to take a course or something and not have bad stuff on your record, whinny, immature kids can't legally carry a gun in public, especially at school. And if a guy jumps out of a dark ally and tries to stab me, that would be good enough reason for me to shoot him, and not to injure, you don't shoot to injure, if you shoot someone, you had better have a good enough reason to kill them. Thats why I want to get my concealed weapons permit when I'm old enough.

Ok well many of you are very funny on your responses in this thread, lets avoid making it political.

As for guns, ok fine live without pistols or concealed weapons. That doesn't change the fact that here in the U.S. you have to think twice about who's house you break into. And this will the end of the gun dispute, it go much further beyond this, I will be locking this thread or moving posts.

If I was a robber, a robber with a gun is a little more feared than a robber without one, and the robbers know that.

Talking about gun laws, here in New Zealand a guy tried robbing a gun store with a machette, the guy behind the counter had a loaded gun under the counter and pulled it out and warned the guy to go away, but the machette wielding robber kept coming closer, so the guy shot him in the stomach in self-defence, and protecting the other employee.

Now the gun shop worker that shot the robber is facing more jail time then the guy who robbed the shop in the first place..

I think I would of done the same thing, I wouldn't want to let that robber have access to guns

Thats stupid, its not like he didn't warn him. The guy had a pretty good weapon, too, its not like he walked up to the counter without any weapons and demanded a gun. Sometimes I wonder why laws can be so stupid (in all countries).

My dad owns a laundromat and has a concealed weapon license. Owning a business that's pretty much cash-only, it's not so much if he'll get robbed but when. Naturally we take measures to ensure that will never happen but if having a gun on hand makes the difference over being killed for a couple hundred bucks or not, I'll opt for having a gun around.

It's not like they just give you your license either. You have to work for it.

Oh, I've always wondered this, what do you do in New Zealand and Australia as far as seasons go, since you're opposite of the Northern Hemisphere? Do you still call it winter when its December?

I am none of those (well, depends on what I'm supposedly unconcerned about). I eat what ever I want and sit on the computer most of the day and I'm not fat (my endurance sucks, but I'm good at sprints). And I'm not stupid, as most of should know from reading me posts and interacting with me.

Nope, summer in December. Autumn at the moment. Just the opposites, no white christmas's here
