Starting Genesis portable

Post by cowsgoquack101 »

I know I've started a bunch of other projects and said f*ck it. But this is going to be done one way or another...

I tore open my 1st gen genesis I got for $5 at a flea market and I want to make it portable. Does anyone know the amperage it takes and also can some one explain to me why it has 2 7805's?

It should state the power requirements on a sticker on the bottom of it, unless its been ripped off.

have you searched in this forum? because ive seen the 2 7805 question somewhere on here before, cant remember why, but thats cos i wasn't paying too much attention, im more of an sms fan, as apposed to a genesis/mega drive one :)
