im just wondering is 413 ping good

or bad

.

and i have very slow dial up and cant get broadband i mean the download speeds are usely 2 kbs per second. is there any way that i can speed it up.

By not using anything else involving internet.

When i used to have AOL (Oh God forbid it) i got 2 or 3 kbps/sec

Sorry, but you can't really do much. You need to get DSL/Cable. It's the best! (Unless you count in that crazy Jap Fibre internet...)

ah damm it. i cant get broadband for at least 2 years so the only option i have is satlite broadband which cost a load and is only 512kbp second still faster than what i have.

what about ping.

I'm at 5mbps, not to bad. I had to use dial up all summer. It was horrible.

And if they have WEP, you can get past that. Or you could offer to pay part of the bill if they give you the password.

There really isn't anything you can do to "make it faster" except use a local number and a 56k modem. Are you using AOL? If so you might get faster speeds from NetZero or PeoplePC Online.

You can't get broadband? That aurprises me. I know DSL is hit or miss, but I thought cable intenet was everywhere cable TV is.

Mabye He lives out in the boonies, and has to deal with Dial-up or that horrid Sattellite Internet.

It could be worse, my grandparents live in the middle of nowhere and have dial up, I bet their ping is measured in full seconds. It makes most other dial up connections look fast.

I thought you said you only had like around 2mbps when we were comparing Speed over AIM.

im not in amercia so i dont know any other isp.

and how can realy be worse im in the midle of no were.

im try to build a tin can wave guide to see if i can steal broadband of some one or ask my school to share it with me i know the princable and fix the computers for them so they probley will let take it.

I have the 8 megabit Comcast one but I always get 1.2+ MB/sec (yes 1 real megabyte)
