The question thats been on our minds forever.....

What really is blast proccessing? Is it just some cheesy marketing term? Or is the proccessor actually boosted in a Genesis. Take this commercial for an example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K03fQKkN7VI

They never actually clerify what it is. Its just a bunch of fast clips of thier video games. I have nothing against Sega at all. I actually like Sega more then nintendo in the whole era of video games. Well of course except the wii. So what is blast proccessing?

P.S: Sega finally made their last game for the dreamcast on March 8th 2007. It was a shooting game called Karous. Verified by Wikipedia.org

I love you Sega!!!!!

I have Karous. It's pretty good but because of the animation on the bullets it's hard to decipher them from powerups.

Trigger Heart Exelica was amazing though.

Blast processing is the nick-name for the Genesis's abillity to draw a level before a charicter gets to that point, making for faster smother games.

Sony pwns.......let me get back to you on that one.

I swear Companies just make up weird names for stuff like: Cell Processors and Blast Processing. The average Joe wouldn't understand it so obviously they'd spaz out about it and buy it, or be confused and buy something else.

Kind of like why everyone thinks you need a DS Lite for Pokemon D/P I mean wtf? Why would that ever make sense. <--If you don't believe go on Youtube and look at comments on D/P videos, seriously.

what they are trying to say is that the genesis had more capability than the SNES, and it did, It was just not able to do more complex graphics and the such, as well as most of the fanbase went to the SNES

Simply play the mortal kombat games on the genesis vs the snes and you will know exactly what it means, ps know why most of the arcade ports are for the genesis vs the snes? thats right the higher lock speeds ment easier porting of the old 8-bit arcades
I refuse to dignify myself with an intelligent and witty signature
