I removed the bulb in my screen, but now the two wires that were going to it either arnt giving off current or simply wont power my LED. Whats wrong?

Don't use that source for the LED power, it should be several hundred volts when active.

Get ben's book! common you prob fried your led's now. btw when using the 7805 or any other power source remember to use resistors.
