Here's a weird one for you. Which of the following is the most overused type of cliche in music? This pertains mostly to lyrics...

Rap is bad.(good thing it's not one of the choices.

Another overused cliche in music is the lyric "Break me down, we'll rise back up." I've heard that in countless songs.

Another metal cliche is the word "Silence" starting a sentence.

I also think arse-long hair and circle headbanging repeadtely in videos and concerts is something a lot of bands do too much.

most overused phrase in the emo community. go read some emo poetry if you can bear it:

imprisoned for rebelion sin
Iam here.....alone
sitting on my devils throne
neck tilted slightly to the side
swimming in tears of blood i've cried
past evil is lurking....silently
feeding off my pain violently
Not a hint of light touches my skin
darkness feeds the anger within
i chose to rebel from my parents evil ways
but now my hopes and dreams are set ablaze
Now confused...whats right and wrong?
Iam trapped...and feal i dont belong.
Iam imprisoned for reblion sin
the evil inside will forever win.

OMG. your parents grounded you?! Must be the end off the world, better write a cliche poem.

Hey, come on now. The writer may actually be a good person that has just been worn down inside by constant abuse from his peers until he feels that writing emo poetry is the only way he can gain release.

Why?
That lyric is probably in almost if not all country songs.

And I dislike country. (doesn't help that my roommate listens to only country)

Rhyming heart with part. definitely.

Perhaps too many of you are thinking: "If a song has heart in it, it must be country" or something along those lines.

the only rap song i really like was King Kong and some of the old school rap. All the other stuff is pretty bad.

At least you can understand bad country music (most of the time)

He means that

"A yo this beat is bananas"

This beat is really awsome

"A King Kong you can put â€˜em in the trunk of the McClaren"

a McClaren is an exotic sports car and King Kong is referring to Subs

"When we do it they fall off, fall off
When they look at my ride, you see the doors fall off"

His Subs are so load that when cars go by they fall apart. v
