WTB: Albatron ATOP Card

Post by scaramanga_goldengun »

Where can I find this? It's a AGP x8 to PCI-e x1 converter, and I need it because I want a decent graphics card until I buy a new computer (may take up to end of this year) and there are very little PCI-e x1 or PCI cards better than my integrated graphics. However, I can't find the ATOP card anywhere, even though it was supposedly released. None of the sites with info on the press release about the release of the ATOP card ever mention a site where you can buy it. Help? I'm looking for either information on where to buy this or somebody to buy this from.

arent basically all new gfx cards PCI-E? why would you want to use an AGP card instead? most of the new agp cards are just modified pciE cards with a bridge chip in them to convert it to agp. or am i totally nnot understanding what your asking for? if you need an agp graphics card get a radeon x1600 pro from HIS, i have one and its great 512mb and a huge heatsink

Actually most cards are PCI-e x16, but I only have PCI-e x1, and the graphics cards for x1 are more geared toward giving you that extra power to have dual-monitor display, which isn't really what I'm looking for. But nevermind, I won't be getting this card because it only supports some old, crappy AGP cards, not the newer ones.
