WiiMote button mapping
Hi, I am new to the forums but I have some questions that you cats might be able to answer for me. I am doing a Wiimote hack and plan on remapping some of the Wiimote buttons to a new controller. Does anyone know what button s are mapped where on the Wii mote, soldering points, etc? I think I have pretty good idea but was hoping to find more ocncrete info. Any info would help greatly. Thanks in advance.
in general the button contacts are directly underneath the button... have you taken it apart yet?
you can just scrape some of the carbon/paint off of the contacts or nearby, one side probably goes to an IC and the other side is usually just ground. grounding the pin on the IC presses the button.
personally though, I've never been inside a wii remote.

I've checked online for Wii mote insides pics and have a pretty good idea. I am waiting to receive my triwing. I have neverdone anything like this before but it seems pretty straightforward and dont think I should have much trouble. In fact, the only thing that bugs is is th efact that it looks pretty easy.
