I've been having trouble with my laptop ever since I have become the owner, (about...7 months?) and it's been the same problem.
The problem is just a bunch of graphics glitches/artifacts while playing a game or watching a video. It's got a ATi Mobility 9700 and an AMD Athlon 64 3400+. Up until today I thought the problem was in the GPU, but I have noticed that, if I leave the lappy on for a lengthy period of time, it will start glitching when the processor is under moderate use (30-50%) or higher. So is this a GPU problem or a CPU problem?
Laptop diagnostic help.

immediately or after like 20 seconds of 3d?
sounds kinda like heat issues to me too, like maybe it got dropped and the heatsink isnt sitting right or something...
or it got dropped and the GPU cracked
or Directx is messed up? i dunno. run dxdiag and its tests and see what it says.
