are you using the psone screen? Try recharging your batteries.

So it works fine without sound? My guess is that the AAs can't provide enough power for everything, maybe try a wall adapter.

What can be the solution?

Then thats probably too much power.

Yeah, better batteries are what you need. The 7.2v 3300mAh NiMH RC battery from Radioshack is a good battery.

The answer is not ENOUGH power.
Alkaline batteries can only output so much current. The sound causes more current to be drawn, and since the video isn't regulated on the PSOne screen, the voltage drop causes the distortion.
Rechargeable batteries will work. Or put 12 AA's in parallel. 6 and 6. But that's overkill.
Hey, sup?

How many rechargables? and also wouldn't that overpower the psone screen?(if using 6 2600ma AA batteries)

6 rechargeables = 7.2v which is okay for the PSone screen.

6 alkaline AAs is too much voltage for the psone screen which makes the video distorted
it happened to me before when i used a 9.6v battery from radioshack
i might cut up that battery cause 9.6v is just a bad voltage
