You mean a dc-dc converter for a gamecube. You'll need several.

If your talking about a psu. Ya you can buy those at repair sites for les then 20. (i think)

I'm not talking about the power brick. I mean the board for the gc. The internal psu.

So that its not like the 360, if they stuck every thing for the PSU in the Power brick, the Gamecube would look like a Cigar Box that was Purple, or there will be tons of Empty space.

and Then the Power brick would be as big as the Gamecube, and that wouldnt make sence at all either.

If you are all wondering why the Optical drive is so thick in the Gamecube.

They did this to maintain the Gamecube name, to make the System into a cube (You think its not a cube? Stick a Gameboy Player, then you got your Cube)

Thats why they did what they did with the Gamecube, You know how friggin' big the 360 would be with the Power Components inside, talk about a pound or 2 heavier than the original Xbox.

Accually it does make a lot of sence, to distribute the 12v to the Components according to how much volts and mA they need.

Thats what the Power brick can't do, or it would have a huge Input into the Gamecube like the 360.

I was going to use one to be able to use smaller batteries than 14.8v

What batteries are you using? Play time will go down if you are using half the batteries.
