Don't bother with no-name Chinese "player happy funtime media player game station turbo" systems. Haven't you ever seen Dr. Ashen's MP4 player review? :P Get a PSP or a GP2X. Both are more likely to havemroe users and homebrew than the "PMP".

Why do you want it to take pictures? You can get a decent digital camera at Wal-Mart for under 40 dollars. Heck, here's a 1.2 MP keychain camera for $20!

Yes I have, but that mp4 was cheap, like $10.

Im getting it from ebay, from the manufacturer. I talked to a tech, and they gave me a lot of descriptions and such. Also I want it to take pictures, because.. well.. I just do. I hate carrying around little cameras and such. It would be better if its built in, Ya know?

I also forgot to mention, I'm on a low budget. $145 or less. Thats why, finding a PSP for that, is hard.

I'm also in Canada. So walmart.com, fails. :)

you're missing something. That thing probably has a small, if any homebrew community. What's that game on the screen? it can't be a game for that thing.

I know it may have a no homebrew community, but.. I could always use it for.. well.. grey. You know. *cough* emulation.

Also, the manufacturer, says its a game underaction, yet I forget the name.

I know a little C++. Probably not enough but, the manufacturer said you could add your own games. Hmm.

For 10 bucks, it may be worthwhile just getting it to see how it is. It's not like you'll really be out anything if its crap... Who knows, maybe it will even have a screen useable for making a portable! (Probably wishful thinking though :? )

Edit: NVM, for some reason I thought you said $10 instead of $100... ignore this then...

Last time I checked, EB Games/Gamestop sells used or refurbrished PSP's for ~$150. (Give or take a few bucks)

But yeah, I have a psp, and I'm quite happy with it.

This might seem kind of unrelated, but i've got a camera setup that outputs composite video but has no way of recording the video. Basically all it does is allow you to watch the video, not record it. So I need some kind of MP4 recorder, but Haven't got an idea where to look.

Not trying to get a new camera altogether, just need something that records my video. (woah, forgot to mention I need it portable.)

Just brought that up since the title indicated it has something to do with recording video and MP4's.

A PSP would be a better investment, you could actually find help with it if you needed.
