Haha, yes I do! :D But it seems that everything wants me to fail!!! I couldn't get the old paint and primer layers off, and when I primered over them, it crackled, of course. :x So I took the plates, soaked them in hot water, and stripped them completely with steel wool. One's done and stripped to its original state, and the other is about half done. This is probably one of the most frustrating paint jobs ever! Good thing it'll turn out quality. :D

EDIT: Okay, the case is now 100% done, and I must say, it looks pretty nice! The wiring is about 30%, but the component video is already done, and that was the hardest part, so there is no doubt in my mind that I'll finish this by tomorrow afternoon.

Although I do have one question; wiring up the sensor bar, I'm using the original sensor bar cable, which contains that crappy stranded wire stuff that's in headphones and such. I've never soldered to it before, though. Is there anything special I have to do to prep it, or do I treat it just like normal wire?

twist them up as tight as you can and tin the ends (if you dont know what tinning is, heat up the end and put some solder on it, it helps hold it together as you solder).

i really hate that junky stranded stuff.

Yes, twist it, put some flux on it, then tin it. If you do it well, you can just use it like like a solid wire at that point.

Okay, cool. Can I just use lemon juice instead of commercial flux? 'Cause that's all I've got right now. :P

And ATOMICMAN, I know what tinning is. Thanks for the tip, though.

Well guys, I have some bad news. I can't finish this project. My stupid little sister went crying to my parents when she heard the words "Wii" and "mod" in the same sentence, and they've forbidden me from working on this project because "they paid good money for an extended warrantee for me to just go and void it". I really don't know what I'm gonna do with this thing now, as it's a good project, and I'd like to see it completed. Maybe I'll sell it in the Trading Post, or perhaps lend it out to someone who'd be capable of completing it, I dunno. The whole ordeal just gets me kinda pissed. Oh well. :? I'll post some pics later tonight should I get the chance, you guys can see just how close I was to getting this thing done. :x
