My take on Ps3 Vs. wii

Here are the Needs for all 3 systems.
More Dashboard options (Like Music Channel, or Video Channel, Online Mii channel or something like that)

They are releasing an online mii channel where you can vote for mii's. As for the video and music channel, well you can go on youtube (just wait for the upgrade of opera next month, it has better resolution and zooming.)

Wii is getting better just wait.

I'm pretty sure that I heard a Music Channel is in the works, don't remember where though. What they do need though, is more 3rd party games. I mean SSX Blur and Sonic (both awesome!) are good for now, but there are very few top-tier 3rd-Party games announced. 1st-Party games are great, but you need more (Nintendo never really seems to understand this.).

If Playstaion 3 loses MGS and FF13 as exclusives, that would leave very little reason to buy a PS3. I read this awhile back on xbox-scene link. That makes it seem aparent that FF13 on Xbox 360 is likely.

Guitar Hero 2 = ownage. I mean it has a Lamb Of God song on, so it's gotta be good. Machine Head for GH3 though (preferably Imperium or something)

How about a little "Old" or "A Nation on Fire" from their debut album? Now that would rock!

I'm just sick and tired of everyone flaming Sony and praising Nintendo. People act like Nintendo is the innocent underdog and Sony/M$ are the big evil corporations that want nothing more than to shut Nintendo down. Granted, everything has its faults, but nothing's perfect.

I think the dumbest move Nintendo made on the Wii was not including HD support. I know, I know "nobody has HD". Well, back in 2001 "nobody has broadband internet so online is dumb". Now look where we are. "Games don't have to look good to be fun." Who says they can't or shouldn't? I think excluding HD from the Wii is like if they released the N64 as a 64 bit version of the SNES. It doesn't make sense, because by the time its successor comes out you're using nearly 10 year old technology.

I 100% agree.. I'm rather disappointed when I hear things like "The Unreal engine doesn't work on the Wii" and how Xbox 360 gets PS3 titles, but not the Wii because it doesn't have the graphics capabilities.

In the middle of the fight, we're using the Wii remote, but we've also lost the abilities that retro gaming had to offer, via a standard control pad.
A lot of games don't even need use for the wii remote, but they add something, and it gets tiresome.

I'm not fussed about HD support, I grant Nintendo that, but the graphics aren't improved either way..

In the long term, I think the Wii is going to die, having a short life, because it may have the fun factor, but it doesn't have the graphics capability that a lot of people want to see in their game which adds to the fun, and realism of the game; afterall, isn't that why the Wii is so intuitive? It adds a realism to the console which everyone wants, but graphically, that realism is removed.

I'd love games like GRAW2 on the Wii, but we'll never see them.

wow, I'm not exactly sure why I spent my time watching an amateur wii commercial. At least it was green. I like green. I also like how the music tried to make itself more interesting for the wii half. not exactly subtle there. I probably would have thought it was trying to be informational without that.

really, people get so worked up over this gaming generation, and I can't find a reason to care about a single system this time. They're all pretty much filthy brown steamers, and I'm planning to grit my teeth and stick it out until the next batch comes out. Pretty bad when you can't sell a guy with over 100 game systems a new one. The heck if I'm going to pay money for something I know I'll hate.

I'll actually probably break down and buy them all once they hit $99--they'll probably have interesting games by then.

wiitards--really this is the most fun I think I'll ever have with the wii. It's my favorite "game system" for other people to have. There should be a TV show devoted to filming people using the wii. And 'wiitard' needs to go in a dictionary somewhere.

Yeah I agree the Wii might fall to the GAMER side of the Target Audiance, but Hell I've been seeing in the News that this Old folks home bought a Wii and the old People are having a Blast playing Bowling and Golf and Such, I think Nintendo is accually Suceeding in getting to a wider Audiance, I mean you never heard of a 360 bought and put in a old folks home.

I think the only people I really think the the Wii will loose are FPS people, because the Wii really cant do FPS very well (Well ATM) and what with this that the Wii cant do the Unreal Engine? No one is the judge of that besides Epic games themselves, The Unreal Engine was used an Xbox Games (Unreal Championship, Unreal Tournament) and the Wii has the SAME CPU and GPU Speeds that the Xbox had, why cant it run the Unreal Engine then, please tell cuz I would like to hear.

I don't know, all I've seen wii do are minigame collections and gamecube titles. (granted it's not bad at those for what little it's worth) IMO an FPS, metroid prime, might just be the first full game out on the system with real value. I generally don't like metroid prime too much and other fps games even less, but if they do as good of a job with the control as the DS one did, it will still be very worth a play.

I purchase full-on video games. not collections of "mini-games" or VC titles I already paid for and played out 20 years ago. I'm aware that being a long-term 'gamer' wii isn't really targeted directly at me. my attention span can't be satisfied in minutes.

GBM and I will stick it out together until such time as the next, next-gen starts up. I've already stocked myself up on extra systems. Don't know why nintendo doesn't just start making *new* 8-bit mario games... If they sold those on a famiclone TV console, I'd pay the $30.

Ive played both, wii is fun for boxing and football for like 30 min.

Ps3 Is big and ugly but the games are sooo fun and awsome graphics.

IMO Metroid prime hunters single player sucks but they made online a lot of fun. I wish that Prime 3 would come out!
