New Idea for EXTREMELY easy cart slot relocation

Post by reliant »

I was trying to design a n64p using a broken board, and make it easy to just pop in the good board that i have when i have it built(not soldering anything), and i came across the idea that if you have an extra cart slot plugin, you can remove the expansion slot, then remove all the pins, then plug the cart slot in, then plug in a scsi cable, then plug in the other cart slot into the other end of the scsi cable, any ideas?

Umm...
Let me see if I understand this...

Plug a SCSI cable into a cart slot directly, that is plugged into the board... erm... or... wait wha?

Make a diagram or something with your M@D P@|N7 $KI11$3Z!!!!!

as you see, the pins from cart slot #1 stick thru into the scsi cable, i'm not sure how secure the connection is, but it seems pretty tight.

Ah... I see...

Heck, might work!

Tell us if it does, that'd help!

I'm sure anyone making a 64p would fry enough 64's to get the extra cart slot

hmm
seem's i have over looked something...
if i pull out the pins from the expansion slot, there is no connection between the cart slot and the mobo...
hmm i feel dumb...
