I'm just sick and tired of everyone flaming Sony and praising Nintendo. People act like Nintendo is the innocent underdog and Sony/M$ are the big evil corporations that want nothing more than to shut Nintendo down.
Granted, everything has its faults, but nothing's perfect.
I think the dumbest move Nintendo made on the Wii was not including HD support. I know, I know "nobody has HD". Well, back in 2001 "nobody has broadband internet so online is dumb". Now look where we are. "Games don't have to look good to be fun." Who says they can't or shouldn't? I think excluding HD from the Wii is like if they released the N64 as a 64 bit version of the SNES. It doesn't make sense, because by the time its successor comes out you're using nearly 10 year old technology.

Sorry, I din't mean you in particular.
Your video is pretty fair. The fact that you didn't mention "The Ugly" for the Wii kind of tips the scale though.

Out of the console market, maybe. They won't go bankrupt from this, obviously, sicne the Playstation's only a drop in their financial bucket.Gump wrote:It's no secret Sony will go down with this flop

Yeah, but their computers aren't exactly flying off the shelf, last year they had a ton of batteries that exploded inside cell phones, laptops and other things, and the PSP didn't do half as well as sony expected. Sony will take a huge wallop from all these problems and be left with a limp for a few years. That means no more sony consoles. At least for a few years.

The Wii won't kill the PS3, if it loses it remaining exclusives like FF13 and MGS, THAT'S what will kill it.
It is a neat system that's MUCH less proprietary than the Xbox 360 (use any USB heaset, plug in any 2.5" SATA drive) and the latest firmware has some good features (including a REAL onscreen keyboard and not that cel phone wannabe crap)

All the consoles are fine, but Nintendo does seem to be rather stubborn. The Wii optical drive is essentially a DVD drive (though Wii games rotate in the opposite direction to be read).... so.... why can't I stick a DVD into a Wii? This is so stupid, childish even, on Nintendo's part. Making the Wii capable of DVD playback from the getgo would have required a few pennies worth of extra plastic, and some alterations to firmware... even when the new Wii with DVD playback is released, the old Wii will not be firmware upgradeable with that functionailty... Why? Why the hell-? Were the Nintendo execs compelled by divine forces to leave out such n incredibly obvious feature!?
A new black Xbox 360 with 120GB hard drive and built-in HD DVD drive is coming out in a month or two, and at only 470 bucks, BTW. The Core System package will be phased out at that point.
A Wii + DS Lite bundle for under 300 bucks is coming to market in a few months.

Here are the Needs for all 3 systems.
Wii: HD, Bigger HDD, Better 3rd party games (all Really suck ATM except for a few) More Dashboard options (Like Music Channel, or Video Channel, Online Mii channel or something like that)
PS3: more Exclusives, More Original Ideas instead on this Mii/Xboxlive Rip-off, Price Drop, Rumble (Which We know we are gonna get back)
Xbox 360: some more RPGs (For Japan Mainly) Less Halo Wannabe games, Built in Wi-fi ($100 buck for a Wireless adaptor is a F*en rip off), bet it only cost like 20 bucks to make)
and This DVD player Crap, the Wii doesnt need it, WHO doesnt have a DVD player? if you have a PS2 or Xbox, those play DVD too, no need for DVD playback.
