Question about cart slot relocation

Hi, i am going to relocate my n64p's cart slot soon, and i was wondering if i had to use a piece of wire for ever single pin, or do i just need to solder the bottom row to the cart slot.I started to get confused when i saw moose's pic's using a scsi cable, and it seems to me that the pins are hooked together, so why would i need 2? i know this is a very confusing read, i am confusing myself here...

You must have 50 wires, one for every pin. They cannot be shorted out (hooked together) or it will fry your N64.
