desktop > properties > settings
make it more than 16 colors. If it won't let you, make sure you have a driver for your video card.

I just have a onbord video card ( dell ) but I do have te dell driveer disk for XP should I pop that in.

God I hate Typeing on a laptop.

Yes. Install the video drivers. Right now it's using a legacy VGA driver. (The same one that 2000 uses in Safe Mode.) XP should have a better "general" driver than that (it supports multiple resolutions and up to true color mode). Either your graphics hardware isn't supported by that driver or whoever "made" TinyXP with nLite should have left it in there.

How "tiny" is it, anyways?

EDIT: Is it still completely functional?

I'm on 05 and thats all right, thanks everyone for help. I finally got the video back to normal. Now I need to get the audio to work.

And bic, it all just seems faster ( dunno if thats just me ) I know for sure it boots allot faster then XP did on my computer before.
