The Great Global Warming Swindle

Post by sgtpepper »

This isn't a topic for discussion, as it would quickly move into politics... Just watch this video. I just want to get the word out, you don't have to believe it if you don't want to. :P

P.S. If anyone wants to discuss, PM me if you must.

have to agree.

I saw something on TV once. A preacher was saying that al gore works for satan, and he lies.

I did get "the inconvinient truth" though, from the freebies thread. I'll still watch it, im open-minded.

Since I am a Petroleum Engineer in training I have somewhat of a biased opinion on this subject. I haven't sat down to watch the video yet but I bet I will agree with it lol.

You two couldn't agree. It's a 75 minute movie, and both your posts are before 75 minutes after the post.

But did you? :P

That like saying I tend to like Taiwan, but I've never been. I don't like Taiwan, though. Full of child labour and cheap $1 video games. You'd think children could make better games than adults! :P

A bunch of pictures of Steam? What's your point?

My take: the Earth warms and cools natural over long periods of time, as evidenced by ice cores and other prehistoric records. I'm sure our industry has some effect, but I doubt it can overshadow the massive natural forces driving our constantly changing climate.

Regardless of which side is most correct, I think we will see a trend towards cleaner technologies in the future because of unrelated factors.

and by doing so you would be looking at your first temp ban!, if you want to come up with a well worded reason why you disagree thats fine but using curse words IS NOT. grow up dude. personally i agree with this, i dont take it as 100% gospel but for the most part its right, i am totally with tetraflop on this thing. the book state of fear by micheal crichton outlines a lot of this stuff really well and shows just how crazy some of these enviromentalists are lol

Eh, people living in the same place for thousands of years & then suddenly being forced out of their homes by flood doesn't seem like a natural accourance to me. Ice that has existed for thousands of years, suddenly melting in under a century doesn't seem natural either.

Agreed, totally. Took the words right out of my mouth!

And atari, come on man. Voice your opinions in a professional manner, or no one will take you seriously (not that they've ever taken you seriously, but that's beside the point). Remember, too that we have younger members here; after all, the site is about video games.

really? last i heard flooding was pretty much a natural occurance. yes some of the icecaps are melting, but in other places around the world (greenland and others i belive, not 100% positive) the thickness of the ice shelf has INCREASED by several feet over the last century or 2? global warming IS happening but its a natural cyclical thing that occurs throughout the centruies. i dont think we should worry about it but other types of pollution should be out main concern, toxic chemicals, radioactive waste all that garbage is horrible for the environment! worry about that crap not global warming
