What should I buy?

Post by Super Cameraman »

Well, it seems that my non-existent money is burning another gaping hole in my pocket...

Anyways, here's some things that I want to buy, but I need your opinion on whether or not they're worth it.

MacBook- $1500, but my mom will pay for half of it.

HD Video Camera- $A Lot. I'm not sure if I'd use it.

iMac- $No clue, but my mom will probably pay for for half.

Video Microphone $150. I make a lot of movies, and sound is half of a good movie.

What do you think? I'm leaning toward the MacBook because I really want a Mac, and I'm going to college in three years (Yikes!) and having a laptop probably can't hurt.

EDIT: Oh, crap, how the heck did this get in the N64 forum!? Please move this to 42!!! Wow I feel stupid....

I don't like macs but I know they are really good for A/V work. people that do a lot of video editing and audio editing use them. If this is what you like get it.

If you have a good video camera use it and don't waste money on an HD one since it will probably be outdated by the time you are out of collage.

The others I will leave uncommented, I don't really know how you would use them, etc.

And I don't feel like typing up more reviews  ( oh, my brain hurts, I can type 60 words per minute but my brain can't compute 10 WPM  , not really, it can get about 50)

The mods get busy and don't catch everything. PM(private message) one that is on right now and they will get around to it faster.

Go for the Macbook, you won't ever regret it. Greatest laptop ever.

Just make sure you get a 2 Ghz model, and 1 GB of Ram and you won't need to upgrade for a long while.

MacBook. It's an iMac with a battery. Sounds like you'll get the most use out of it.
