amiga crashed... AGAIN!!!

HELP!!!! my amiga was stuck in a reboot loop!!! and it busted the hard drive

i put in a spare hard drive and to my plain luck it wasnt formated...

now it wont boot at all...and now its all up to my allowence

what plans do you have for this amiga anyway? what do you intend to do with it?

I thought i'd make it into a laptop with swappable hard drives (in this case compact flash[not while turned on. of cource] ) and a formatting floppy

but there are errors in my server that has all the data im using
and my amiga's(I have 2) still need to be upgraded and i need a case desine

and now i found out that laptop cards are competible

sho would! lol. the a600 is about the best amiga for a laptop but no matter how you figure it its gonna be kinda tricky, you could use the one with the dead keyboard and build a converter and use a laptop keyboard in it, im pretty sure its possible to dol in all honesty depending on the condition of it i would be pretty tempted to make an amiga laptop out of a 600 myseld but i wouldnt sacrifice a nice one to do it lol

A600 is cool, but sadly, no AGA chipset.

yea i think it was ECS (basically OCS but with the "fatter" agnus gpu) but otherwise pretty similar to the a500 aside form the ide and pcmcia stuff

Well either way i'm all for an Amiga Laptop as long it's an A500/A600/A1200 (and it's variants), none of this new crap like AmigaOne)

yep the a600 and a1200s had PCMCIA type I slots in them, very handy!
