Transfer Saves to Xbox with DVD??

Post by A_Username »

Me and my friends are trying to softmod his xbox, but unfortunately the only person I know who has the equipment to transfer (controler with USB, Action Replay) has moved to somewhere in Iowa. I can't find ANY store that has an Action Replay/Gameshark even one used. My question is, can I burn a save to a DVD/CD and transfer it to an unmodded xbox? I know it probably won't work, but if it can be done, how would I do it?

Thanks for you help,

Nope sorry. But you could burn it to a disk, load it on a modded box, then put it on a memory card and put that memory card in your nonmodded box.

Or you could get actionreplay of ebay of course.

Out in the middle of nowhere nobody expect me and my friends even know what a modded xbox is. Are there any alternatives, he doesn't want me to risk cutting open a controller either.

Yeah, It sucks, nobody carries orginal xbox stuff anymore. People still use them, not EVERYONE has a 360.

cant you stick a USB drive in a controller port?

whats the risk of cutting open a controller? can you solder 4 wires together? and timmeh yeah you can solder it to the controller ports and if you have like an extra xbox communicator thing that plugs into the controller just solder to that, no risk to your xbox controller i dont think anyone has done that but it would work also if you soldered to usb ports to the controller ports then you could have a mouse and keyboard off of a controller for xbox linux

I could do this in 15s, but it's not my xbox or controller, so it's not up to me. My friend is willing to take the risk of softmodding, but he just doesn't want me to open anything up.
