ok so I am trying to play a dvd on my puter and media player keeps telling me that " my screen resolution is wrong" total BS I have tried every resolution possible and nothing helps, could someone tell me how to fix or at least something that will allow me to play movies on my pc so that i can put them on my zune, cause if i can't play it then I can't put it on zune Helllp!

yes i do the system is reading the disc but says there is a prob with my monitor weirdness

This is WiMP 11? hmm... does it have any Vista-like digital restriction management built in?

Go download VLC and try that. It shouldn't complain.

Sounds like it might be problem w/ your DVD codec. I'm w/ bicostp; download VLC, it doesn't require a codec & will play just about every format you throw at it. (It'll even read VCD ISO/BIN files!)

Im not sure how to fix it but i heard that the new windows meda player had a lot of problems. just use an old version of media player then it should play it.

Makes me glad I never upgraded my WMP, still version 9, I think, maybe 10. Yes go with VLC, I use it more and more, I might even replace MWP with VLC in my quick launch button section. As for codecs! Go download a open source codecs pack. PowerDVD/WinDVD suck for getting the MPEG-2 codecs, just get the thing without a damn program.

hey thanks everyone for all the help vlc does play the dvd but i cant seem to figure out how to rip it to my zune till i did some reasearch at zuneerama forums and found some dvd rippers that seem to work pretty well again thanks for all the help guys
