My laptop has wireless internet and is upstairs in my room. If I connect my xbox to the laptop via ethernet and the laptop is connected wirelessly is there a way to get a internet connection to the xbox. My dad hogs our 360 with nba2k7 all night (hes like 20th) and I just want some free halo fun with xboxconnect. Any ideas?
Yeah a Normal PC, you would need 2 Ethernet Cards or a Router or a Hub, either way if the PC, Internet, and the Xbox are all connected at some point in your House/Aprt, it should work.
You can use a crossover cable connected to your laptop's ethernet port to link the two together. That's how I do it (BTW, Kai > XBConnect). If you don't have a crossover cable, you can use two straight thru cables and a router.

I kind of implied it.
I've made my own crossover (not from that guide, though) and it works great.
