help!!! commodore amiga 600 problems

i just srtd this progect and my new amiga 600 wont boot and it has no HD (hard drive) plese tell me some things

one more thing... is the HD an IDE hard drive?

Does it seem to turn on at all, are you just not getting a picture, is it failing to load things? Be a little more specific about the problem.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I think the amiga might have actually used an IDE hard drive, but in order to make a larger hard drive accessible you need a version of the OS that supports it.

it gives me a notise saying "no hard drive" and "no fastboot disk"
thats it and i found out that compact flash is IDE competible...weird...

first what version kickstart rom does it have (im going to assume 2.04 or something close to that ) do you have workbench disks? can it boot from floppy? a good source for info is amiga.org

if you ever decide to get rid of amiga stuff contact me lol, im always lookin for new amiga stuff

i can't send it to the usa agin!!! i sent it to a amiga expert and even he cant tell... just today lost my power suply and it needs to have an upgrade asap

you are 1/2 corect. the problem is that the hard drive has a id code wich makes things difficult
