I took a bit of time off, but now I'm back on track!

I can't use screws to hold the MOBOs in place, so insted I glued foam all the way around the outside of the screen hole, and the plan was I stuck the LCD through the hole and hot glued the screen's PCB to the foam. I glued the foam in, but I am having some space trouble with the controlls and all.

I will post pictures later. Also, fixed the brightness buttons finally! It was just 1 dogey wire...

Also, controller is STILL messed up...

Same as always. It thinks that either the start or the X button is constantly pressed down (I don't know which one).

Hmm. Well it pretty much has to be a ground leak some where. You should trace it back to see where the problem lays. But I guess you've tried that.

If I remember rightly the ground on the back of the ribbon connector is next to the select then start. You might find that you've shorted them. Make sure you look on the upright part of the connector too. Its really easy to short them there.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean. What's a ground leak?

I just mean that the ground is probably shorting to your start/x button somewhere.

Hmm this is quite strange. I worked out that it was the Square button that the console thought was always pressed down. So I tested to see if the two leads that get connected when the tact is pressed, were connected, and it said they wern't. They must be though, as the consoles certinally thinks they are...

Anyone know of what it might be?

That dose sound odd. I really cant see why that would be. If there's no short on the connections on the controller cabling it must be something on the mother board. Have you tested with the console on as well as off?

No, but when I test it, the controller isn't plugged in.

Do you have another controller (non-hacked up) which you can use to test the port with? If that works fine, it isolates the problem as the controller, not the console. Still, even then I don't know what else you could do, the controller sounds really odd.

The only thing I can think of is theres a short on your mobo somewhere. The only thing I can think of is to just test everything to do with your controller. I am sure you'll find something.

Yeah, normal contollers work fine. Must be a problem with my controller. Can't think what though...

Oh, I see, I was misunderstanding. Yep, boring as it is, your just gona have to keep testing untill you find the problem.
