Tactile switch on ps2 controller

How would I attach a tactile switch to each of these things? (Circled in red)

Get a knife and get the plasic off and solder the tact scich to those two and its a normal swich

I'll go into a wittle itty bit more detail, although _____ _______ is right.

1. Take the flat edge of a razor (NOT A STEAK KNIFE

) and lightly scrape along the top of the "pad". You may see a little bit of "powder" come off of it, and it should all around look a little different. This is to "clean" it of any residue.

2. Prep the area in the same way as any other soldering job.

3. Solder the tact switch to the "pad", treating the two separate halves of the pad as the "leads" (I can't explain things...).

4. Test it!!

If it doesn't work...

Just solder to the leads going into it, simpler and it works most of the time

. I have tried the above method. I have found it more reliable and works better. Just use the above (not my way, the above post) method unless you really don't care about screwing up your project, if not, try a few different ideas, if they work, tell us, and if not, tell us, but don't blame me
