I have a habit not to say anything until I have a something useful to add. I would call this something useful IMHO.teraflop122 wrote:That being said, registering simply to point out someone's mistakes makes for rather poor first impressions, villadelfia

1. That takes away all the fun.vb_master wrote:Couldn't you make an ISO and mount it with like Alcohol or something.atari2600a wrote:I'm actually having problems w/ ePSXe because of the CD-ROM drive spinning up (reading) & stopping too slowly/fastly, which messes up a lot w/ Legend of Dragoon, & I assume other RPG's. I probably have to enable or disable a CD-ROM cache setting or something. Otherwise, (like w/ Tomb Raider & Tony Hawk 2), I have no problems w/ it.
2. I'm on a slow 10GB Hard Disk as of right now. (too cheap to buy one)

Yes, but I've generally only seen savings of 20% or so. Transylvania: SOTN drops from 500mb to 400mb, or something like that. Can't you compress the .iso's
I guess you could really cut down on size by stripping out cutscenes and media, but by then you really aren't experiencing the game as intended anymore.

Hmm nope ROM sites are not long gone, Hell I found a ROM site thats freakin' awsome, I wish I could tell you all what it is, but I mean When you DL 1 game they give you like All the Variations of the Game available, like SM64 (Which I own so shut up, its not like da man is gonna be bustin' down my door and taking my house) and in the 7z file there are like around 20 Variations of the Game, Mostly between Languages, but Key one they have is the Jap version with Rumble feature, and if you have a Xbox controller hooked up to you Computer (Like I do, Home made too) and XBCD you can get N64 Rumble Compatible games to accually use the Xbox Controller's Rumble.
And if you want to know what this site is that I go to, you know the PM button right below my post, so dont be afraid to ask.
Plus the site also has the Animal Forest N64 Rom.

There is a orama of the SNES full of those. (They're called rips) I got a stripped version of Ridge Racer (1 car, 1 stage, 3 levels, no music), compressed into 2mB!teraflop122 wrote:Yes, but I've generally only seen savings of 20% or so. Oh, I don't use Gens for Genesis emulation, I use Gens+ (I think it adds filters like hq2x, and I know it has support for GG and SMS games)
Radica 6-in-1p:
Currently: received Radica, bored of Sonic and Golden Axe, now waiting for Christmas break.
