Anyone else participate in National History Day?...
For those of you who don't know what National History Day is, it's like science fair, except with history. Google it for more info. But anyway, for those who are familiar, you probably know that this year's theme is "Triumph and Tragedy". My topic? Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Inc.
I decided to make a documentary, as I have for the past few years, and I believe this one is my best yet. So I'd like you guys to watch and critique it in any way you can.
Here it is!
Please note- It must be 8-10 minutes, and relate to the theme Triumph and Tragedy.
Also, who else is doing History Day?

Thanks, and since you are well-informed on this subject, this question doesn't exactly apply, but do you think a person watching this with no prior knowledge of Steve Jobs would still be able to follow it? This is my biggest worry going into competition, because many of the judges are older, and kind of behind on the technology scene.bicostp wrote:Then don't watch it.

Yea I actually won on the State level back in 7th grade (do not call me a liar it really happened, I had A GOOD CHUNK of help from my teachers/parents/history oriented people)
It was on SC's Ordinence of Secession
I remember not having any fun unless it was crushing the competition...sorry went off there a little bit

I refuse to dignify myself with an intelligent and witty signature
I didn't win district because the judges were a bunch of idiots and claimed it wasn't historical enough.. What the hell does that mean?
Either way, Fake Steve posted it, so I feel accomplished.

I, too, am not a fan of the modern Mac, but that video was incredibly insightful; it was interesting to learn more about someone who, like him or not, revolutionized the computing industry forever. Great stuff!
As for my participation, sadly, I did not. I'll have to remember this for next year, though, it looks pretty fun!
