I already posted this on apple and they don't know what to do.
My ipod nano 2gb says it is always connected, the litle battery has the plug in it all the time. Then when I turn it off the charged screen appears so it is never off. I replaced the battery so that isn't the problem and its out of warranty.
I have the latest itunes udated the pod.

You could have a bad firmware update(glitch in downloading, trust me, I know.) Or there could be dirty contacts. Have you completely drained the batt and tried recharging it?

The port is a little dirty but what do I clean it with, I'm sure the dish washer would be fine lol.
I think the firmware is fine b/c it happened while it was on 1 then I updated to 1.3. Yes of course I the original battery was drained, it never turns off so the battery is always dead.

To clean the port I'd say start with compressed air, if dirt is still there I have to agree a soft bristle toothbrush would be good.kidw/32+systems wrote:The port is a little dirty but what do I clean it with, I'm sure the dish washer would be fine lol.

As for the problem yeah firmware, I've had a problem with my 2GB (sliver) ipod. If I synced it to my podcasts it'd screw up the whole thing, I'd go to listen to a song or play list and it'd just keep going to the next song, never playing a second.
Good luck on the repair.
