i am building a nes controller for the bondo open and i already have the case cut, sanded, and ready to install the controller. I am taking the old psone controller(the one without the analog sticks) and cut out one side of the controller where it has L1 and L2 and it will be a one handed nes controller. I will need a little help on the wiring because it is quite cramped in there and i have never hooked up a nes controller ( i probably should have started hacking one of those originally).
So if i could get any wiring.................
Thanks

Re: nes controller mod
in bens book theres a thing about how to do it using a nes ic, tact switches, and resistors. thats pretty much it just follow the traces on the nes controller its really pretty simple. your project sounds really cool but where are the start and select buttons goiong to be?Dark Lord wrote:i am building a nes controller for the bondo open and i already have the case cut, sanded, and ready to install the controller. that has been something i have been thinking about since i started an i will place the start/select wherever there is room but still make it comfortable.
so i need to hook up the 5 volts to the ic, than the ic to the resistor to the button, than from the button back to the ground?
i'll see if i can post some pics tonight with my dads new camera

yeah thats about righti think you should put the select to the left of up and start to the right if its possibleDark Lord wrote:that has been something i have been thinking about since i started an i will place the start/select wherever there is room but still make it comfortable.
