dude, like i said, get a network adapter. you can get a molex attachment at radioshack even.



12v is the hole on the left. The two in the center are ground and the last one is 5v.

How would I know which is ground? They ll give me the same reading 0L.

EDIT:
On the Molex connector it is 12v on the left, but is it on the PSU? Thats my problem.

ground should be continuous with the metal bits or the thick copper border on the motherboard. your multimeter should read 0 ohms or pretty close to that for continuity.

p.s.: get the dang network adapter. it WILL save you from futzing with the PSU.

First off, the Molex connectors from radio shck are not even standard computer type. Also i am no expert but I know that you will probably fry that network adapter if you power the whole PS2 from it since it is not made to do this. Plug in the power supply and stck the meter to each plug on the power supply. Simple, no really it is.

Be careful, I am not responsible if you or your house burn down, careful 120 volt on most of the supply.

on the power supply board, one of the four pins might be an 'enable' input or a 'power good' output. Both things that computer PSUs have

just thought id throw that out there.

One of the prongs is 12+, one is 5+, and two are GND. They have the + beside the -. I used to know them but I don't know. Wait, I do have them . I am wrong about the above info on them being + - + - but I do know that they are ++-- know. Also, on a version 9 or 10 the 12+ is on thge far left if looking at it turned upside down and the power input on the left top. I will post a pic ASAP. The patern goes 12+ 5+ GND GND. I know this is hard to explain but I will post a pic as soon as I charge my camera batteries . I hope someone understands this.
