I was thinking of the same thing, but don't they only hire people with issue's, like mental and physical ?

Umm no...... Every Goodwill I've been to the Employees seem like normal People, Hell at the Goodwill I went to In Beavercreek today there was a Teenager working there, she looked fine (In looks and in being normal)

They are called goodwill, because all profits (I assume all profits) go to Charity for the Poor, Homeless, and people with Mental and Physical Defects.

I'm going to try and get a job at my Goodwill outlet store, lol Its funny to what types of people go in there, I even see homeless people go into this Goodwill, Hell I saw one homeless guy looking through the Silverware.

I see a lot of Mexicans and Old people there too. But the Cleaner Goodwills have like Normal people go to them (Ones that dont look like Hobos, Old people, and Rednecks.

I just scored a Nice 1st Party GBO Rechargable Battery, and Still works like It has no Memory (If you dont know what memory is in a battery I suggest you look it up) I Fully charged it overnight (8 hours like it said on the Battery) and I just had the Battery Sucsefully Keep the GBO to stay on a good 7 hours, (Or more I really wasnt Keeping track) Even though for more than half that time, the Power Light was pretty much dim to not even on at all, yet the GBO was still running.

Lol not bad for 4 bucks from a Place that trys to sell a PS1 phat for 25 bucks.

I scored an NES alone for $5, dunno if it works and the thrift store didn't have any games or controllers for it. Also got a breadboard for $0.50. 8)

Records do tend to have smoother sound... if not more crackly than digital media due to dust and scratches. :P

Ever heard a tube amplifier? The sound they produce, to me anyways, is warmer and richer than solid-state components.

Small thrift store tips that REALLY work!

1. Consoles that also have games, controllers, etc. are MUCH more likely to be working than ones without.

2. Usually things you find in multiples (more than 1) are cheaper. (On time I found a large box full of N64 games for $5!)

3. Check often! I once checked a store 3 times and got something new each time! I never would have found that virtual boy if I hadn't come that day!

The cheapest thing I can buy within an hour of my location is a box of Tic-Tacs. Which are still like a freakin' dollar.
Valve is the best company.
