Diagram request.
Hi guys,
I seem to work best with visual pictures, any chance I could beg someone (I think Iam7805 & Skyone helped me in the past) to create a mspaint or some other diagram for me.
Well here is what I'm tring to do. I'd like to hook my n64 up to batteries. I thought it would be cool if the batteries could be powered by the original n64 switch. I guess what I'm saying is I'm not sure how to hook up my batteries to the orignal switch. Thanks guys.

What kind of batteries?
And have wired the 3.3v adpter to the n64? If you put in in where the power normally goes, it will still work by the switch.

3.6v = not good, so dont try to get that diectly from the batts.jeffslot wrote:Hi SS,

Didn't you pm me for another 3.3v one?
In any case, If need be, I can make you a special offer. I can get a plug from an old n64 power supply, and wire everything(including lm317t) to it, and your end result would be 2 wires asking for 7.2 - 12v and gnd

The psos screen messes up at 9.6 Thats why you need the 7808

I happen to know a hell of a lot about N64 powering so here's a simplified version of my power diagram

If you're using NiMH batteries, use 6 or 7 cells because the screen doesn't like more than 9v. If you use more, it'll just add unneccessary size and weight and you'll need a regulator for the screen. ti dc-dc convertors from the free dc-dc convertor thread are really easy to hook up and work great if you use an inductor.
