How about the gangsters and other people that get their guns illegally? They're the people you need protection from, and whether or not you can buy guns legally won't stop them from getting guns, so you might as well be able to buy them. And you have to have a concealed weapons permit to carry a gun around for everyday stuff anyways, most people have them for home defense (the intruder could still attack you with a knife if guns are outlawed), target/sport shooting, and hunting. Just because a few people thing its fun to blow out other people's brains doesn't mean that everyone with a gun will.

But those gangsters would have far less guns if they weren't commonplace in your society. Sure, Canada has people with guns, but they're almost taboo. Your average people don't run around asking people for weapons permits. I know personally if I was to have a gun on me I would MUCH rather it be in the states where half of the population carries guns than in Canada where it's only a few inner-city folk.

...I mean... Happy birthday! [edittimestamp]Even though it was a few days ago! [/edittimestamp]

Where do think they get AK-47s and other guns I believe are illegal? It wouldn't matter to them, they would just get them the same way, and no one could protect themselves.

HAPPY MCBIRTHDAY!

I know the McBirthday is a tradition and all, but should we be supporting a multi-billion dollar company like McDonalds?
